Bricks Through the Door

Intuitive Commentary by Kirk D. Smith
You could guarantee that a news report of a brick with a hateful message attached to it, thrown through the front entrance of an A.M.E. Zion Church, would make the national headline news.  This event would most certainly receive continuous follow-up reporting, national notoriety, as well public condemnation and rightly so.

Now why is there not one bit of national notoriety when a vandal threw bricks with hateful messages attached to them through the doors of the Christian Liberty Academy in Arlington Heights, Illinois early October 15th?   This terror act prompted a “press release” to the Chicago Independent Media Center.

“In the early morning hours of October 15th, we put two chunks of concrete through the glass windows and doors of the Christian Liberty Academy,”

(Now we know why this hate-crime didn’t make the national news circuit, because the words: Christian, Liberty, and Academy!)

“We did this because at 6 p.m. today they will be hosting an event organized by the homophobic hate group Americans For Truth About Homosexuality, that [sic] will be presenting an award to Scott Lively.”

They continue with their threats,

“These chunks of concrete were thrown through these windows and doors for two reasons: to show that there is a consequence for hatred and homophobia in our community and to directly cause this event to be shut down.  If this event is not shut down, and the homophobic day trainings do not end, the Christian Academy will continue to be under constant attack.”

We can anticipate the same kind of attack directed against churches and groups that actively encourage their members to vote in support of the North Carolina Constitutional Amendment, codifying marriage as between a Man and a Woman.  Remember the progressive secularist’s desire is to embrace all of diversity’s perversities and they believe that the end justifies the violent means.

My commentary on the current media’s bias does not stop with the recent attack by homo-fascists against Christians.  Did you know that the Occupy Wall Street protestors were coordinated by the Canadian group Ad Busters?  Ad Busters minions at the various demonstration sites constantly spew hateful violence laced rhetoric.  Now we have available a variety of video rants spewing anti-Semitic language, some of us would call that “hate speech.”   Visit the website:

Now our “Dear Leader” President Barack Hussein Obama and his democrat cohorts are embracing and supporting the Wall Street Occupiers.

“I think it expresses the frustration that the American people feel,” he said Thursday.  “People are frustrated and the protesters are giving voice to a more broad-based frustration about how our financial system works.”  President Barak Hussein Obama - Oct. 13, 2011

“God bless them for their spontaneity,” Nancy Pelosi praising the Neo-Marxist, Anti-Semitic, Neo-Nazi protestors on Wall Street.  “It’s independent people coming (together), it’s young, it’s spontaneous, it’s focused and it’s going to be effective.” - Oct. 6, 2011.

So there you have it.  President Barak Hussein Obama supports the anti-Semitic and anti-capitalist protestors around the United States.   What would one expect from a former “community organizer?”

The Occupy Wall Street crowds include support from the Democrat Party, a variety of national worker’s collectives (labor unions), the Communist Party USA, the Revolutionary Communist Party, the Neo-Nazi Party, Anarchists, Enviro-fascists, and the Council of American Islamic Relations (a group with connections to the Muslim Brotherhood and Hamas who are also rabidly anti-Semitic and hateful of Israel).   Recently we learned that the Occupy mobs consist of deviant public defecators, drug abusers, thieves, rapists, and perverts.  How many hundreds have been arrested?

Now recall the media’s coverage of the Tea Party movement.   Yeah, the media ignored the Tea Party, because it was grassroots, real, honest to goodness, law-abiding, tax paying, hard working Americans who by in large remained quiet and in the shadows.  Ultimately Big Government woke-up a sleeping giant, with the onset of Obama Care, a major piece of legislation passed by using unsavory un-Constitutional means, that will give government total control over the most private and intimate aspects of each and everyone of our lives, our health care.  Once these people stood up and let their voices be heard, the push back by our Dear Leader and his myrmidons was relentless.

“Does anybody think that the teabag, anti-government people are going to support them if they bring down health care?  All it will do is confuse and dispirit” Democratic voters “and it will encourage the extremists.”  - Barack Obama – Nov. 7, 2009.

“They’re carrying swastikas and symbols like that to a town meeting on healthcare.”  - Aug. 5, 2009 - Nancy Pelosi commenting on the Tea Party protests during the health care town hall meetings.

Compared to the national information bureaus (our mass media) reporting on both the Occupiers and the Tea Party, so far the “lame-stream media” is reporting twice as many stories about the Occupiers than they did the Tea Party.    So much so that even the Weather Channel is reporting on the Wall Street mobs and the pending winter weather effecting their movement.

At the same time, the national information bureaus fail to report on the dark under lying side of the Occupiers, their supporters and financial underwriters.   All the stories are favorable or sympathizing with the mobs.  Simply read the Associated Press reports in the Sanford Herald.   This mischaracterization by our national media of a vile, vicious Marxist movement, threatens our very institutions and property rights!

When will our local Progressive Democrat officials Chairman Ty Stumpf, Lt. Governor Dennis Wicker, Commissioner Hayes, Commissioner Reives, Commissioner Paschal,  Irene Smith, Neil Rotter,  and Randall Lee Yow denounce the anti-semitic, violence laced rhetoric of the Wall Street Occupiers?   I suggest our progressive comrades here in Lee County read and view the following:

We The People, who support a representative Republic, based on the Rule of Law, demand to know where our local progressives stand in this Marxist inspired anti-capitalist, anti-freedom movement.

As always, I shall remain, In Search of Our GOD Given Liberties!

Mr Smith,

You apparently haven't been following the blog (and shame on you for that, you should not drink coffee for a week to punish yourself). I've posted the 99% Declaration and you will be pleased to know it says nothing about Israel.

I, Randall Lee Yow, believe that Americans have the right to peaceable assembly. If they break the law they should be held accountable for their crimes. Like that Rand Paul supporter who stepped on that lady's head.

I, Randall Lee Yow, believe Israel has a right to be a country and defend themselves from harm. After all it was a Democrat that first recognized them as a nation. I do believe I have a right to criticize the actions of the government of Israel when I think they are doing something wrong. After all no people or country are perfectly correct all the time.

I, Randall Lee Yow, know for a stone cold fact that the biggest supporter of Adbusters and Occupy Wall Street is named Robert Halper. Mr Halper is a retired banker who wrote a check for $20,000 dollars to fund the event. He also wrote a multi-thousand dollar check for Mitt Romney's campaign after meeting Mr Romney at one of his neighbors houses. Imagine Mr Smith that is the kind of rich guy who is going to have the ear of the man who is going to get the Republican Nomination for Presidents.

Thank you for your documented assessment of the situation. Facts and quotes help to make the point clearer.

To Mr. Yow,
I don't know how much Robert Halper's money will influence Mitt Romney or any candidate. I hope not at all. It seems to me, though, that he is supporting both sides if he also backed OWS.

Everyone's hearts and prayers should be with Scott Olsen and his family. Mr Olsen is an Iraq War vet that was wounded when he was struck in the head by a Teargas grenade fired by police. It seems four or five people two blocks down from Mr Olsen started throwing rocks at a police car and then the police decided to disperse the entire group instead of arresting the people breaking the law. As Mr Olsen laid on the ground with a cracked skull some of the now angry protesters started picking up the teargas grenades and throwing them back over the barricade at the police. The police made no effort to go after those people, they just stood there in their Kevlar riot gear. However when a group of protesters attempted to aid Mr Olsen by seeing if he is okay and trying to pick him up and police officer at the barricade took a step back and hurled a flash bang grenade at the prone Mr Olsen and his would be rescuers. A flash bang grenade produces a flash bright enough to blind and a noise loud enough at close range to burst an eardrum. Apparently the other fifty or so police did not feel threatened because they just stood there watching Mr Olsen bleed. Here is the video that backs up everything I have said:

What I want to know is where is the conservative outrage? A man goes out and defends his country by serving in the military and when he comes home and tries to assemble and use his freedom of speech he gets his skull cracked open! I suppose big government is alright as long as it is a police state.

When will our local conservatives speak out against this type of thing? Why haven't Kirk Smith, Linda Shook, Charlie Parks, James Womack, and Lloyd Jennings come out against these heavy handed police tactics? I'm I going to have to wait until this happens at a tea party rally to hear anything? Will Mrs Barber give up her right to run this blog if the police tells her too? Will Mr Smith hand over his guns if the police tell him he can no longer bear arms? Will Mrs Shook and Mr Womack started praying in church the way the police want them too? Mr Smith you spoke about the rule of law what law did Mr Olsen break? If he broke a law why wasn't he arrested? What did an unarmed man do that frightened the police enough to give him a cracked skull? I sit awaiting your answers to these questions Mr Smith.

Mr Yow,
I did not know of this incident until recently. Am I upset about this. Greatly. Does this bother me. Very much so. Do I think that the police officer acted improperly. Yes. And I pray that he is fully investigated and prosecuted if warrented.

However, you cast big stones with your accusations. You accuse conservatives of condoning these actions, or at a minimum tolerating them, though I see no proof of this. I could just as easily accuse the thugs that initially caused this tragedy of being hateful, conniving liberals that intentionally set up the police with the hopes that something like this would happen. I could then accuse democrats of supporting this violence and actively trying to further their political ambitions through such violence and the resulting chaos. And if I did that, I would be just as wrong as you. I hope that the anger and frustration that you put into words here are a result of the wasteful violence that took place and not bigotry. No self respecting person likes to see great men like Scott Olsen come to harm like this, conservative or liberal; Democrat or Republican. To use a terrible incident like this to score political points, in my humble opinion, does not put you in a favorable light. This is beneath you.

Mr Wulpern,

I am not sure if you read the above post by Mr Kirk Smith where he tried to connect me and several other local Democrats by name to the marginal Communist a Anti-Semites that are showing up at some of these OWS protests. To quote Mr Smith:

"When will our local Progressive Democrat officials Chairman Ty Stumpf, Lt. Governor Dennis Wicker, Commissioner Hayes, Commissioner Reives, Commissioner Paschal, Irene Smith, Neil Rotter, and Randall Lee Yow denounce the anti-semitic, violence laced rhetoric of the Wall Street Occupiers?"

Now I responded to Mr Smith questions with the first comment. I told him if people are breaking the law they should be arrested, but people had the right to peaceably assemble. Mr Smith implied through his comments that since we local Democrats have not commented on every crazy person that has shown up at a public protest we must be in agreement with them. In fact he even stated that he demanded to know where we stand. To quote Mr Smith once again:

"We The People, who support a representative Republic, based on the Rule of Law, demand to know where our local progressives stand in this Marxist inspired anti-capitalist, anti-freedom movement."

If Mr Smith can "demand" answers and statements from me, why can I not ask the same thing of him? Mr Wulpern why is it beneath me, but all right for Mr Smith to do? Wasn't Mr Smith using the stupid criminals who through bricks through a church door to score political points? If I was casting big stones, then surely Mr Smith fired a broadside at me?

Let me state perfectly clearly for everyone reading this, 95% of all people be they Conservatives, Liberals, Moderates, or Libertarians I'm sure have a problem with what happened to Mr Olsen. I'm sure Mrs Barber and other Conservatives have been praying for Mr Olsen, we all should be praying for Mr Olsen. I'm sure all the people I named above think what happened was wrong. I know that the majority of local Conservatives are decent people. Just like you local Conservatives know I'm not a gosh darn Marxist with sympathy for Hamas. Mr Smith uses some pretty red hot rhetoric all the time when a little of it is directed back at him do you notice the silent treatment I get? I’m sure Mr Smith doesn't want to live in a police state and I'm sure he feels bad for Mr Olsen, but he can't publicly agree with me it would be bad for his image. After all he is running for office now.

Mr Wulpern if I offended you or any local conservative with what I wrote I apologize. I did not mean to offend, but all Americans should come together when we see something so blatantly wrong. I don't want to see this happen at a Tea Party Rally, and conservatives should want to see this kind of thing at a rally supporting the left.

Oh, and in closing I'm not sure how many of you listen to right wing talk radio, but I do. Sean Hannity (2nd most popular right wing radio host) hung up on and squashed any caller how tried to make fun of and talk badly about Mr Olsen. He even stated that he hated to see this kind of thing happen. However Micheal Savage (3rd most popular right wing radio host) called Mr Olsen on his Friday show the "So-Called Veteran" and a "So-Called Marine". Mr Savage has the right to say whatever he wants, but I also have the right to e-mail him and tell him what I think about him. I would tell all of you what that is, but I don't want to use that kind of language on Mrs Barber's Blog!!!

Mr Yow,
You are right, I did not see all of his post and for that I apologize. I read the part that was visible on the home page, but did not see the link to the rest so I did not read the entire blog. My fault. Unfortunate.

Hey Randall,

I have been out of town. I will respond to your posts soon. I want to research this.

Yes, Randall, you should be assured I will rail against the right as much as the left. I had assumed by now most people who read this blog understood that.

rest assure if I believe there is wrong doing from the right I will say something.

will get back soon.

Rich Wulpern said...

Mr Yow,
I have now had time to go back and read everything. While I disagree with many things Mr Smith says, and most of them are way over the top, all the incidents that he references did indeed happen. There have been anti-Semitics at the protest, there has been violence at the protests, the democratic party has come out in support of the protests. Like it or not, you now own it, violence, bigotry, smell and all. It really stinks when the shoe is on the other foot, doesn't it.

My biggest problem with your commentary is with Mr. Olsen. This entry was 100% your response and was never referenced by Mr. Smith. Now, while I understand the point you were trying to make, you made a very poor choice in your example and the poor choice is magnified in that it has absolutely no basis in fact. If you cannot see the difference here, than I am wasting my time. If you have a problem with what he says, or what he 'demands', address it. Challenge him on it. Let him choke on his own words. Words have a wonderful way of coming back and biting the author during debates. But inventing stories like this is terrible in my book.

I have come to the conclusion that both you and Mr. Smith must have a long history of which I know nothing. I believe that absolutely no good can come out of continuing this conversation so I will bid you adieu and pray for you both. If the two of you represent the current state of our political discourse, we are in bigger trouble than I realized.

Randall Lee Yow said...

Mr Wulpern,

You said, and I quote:
"And the poor choice is magnified in that it has absolutely no basis in fact."

You also said:
"But inventing stories like this is terrible in my book."

Scott Olsen is a real person. What facts did I make up? What story did I invent? Did you not watch the you tube video that shows what I said? Are you saying that there is no Scott Olsen and he was never injured? How many links would you like me to provide to prove to you this really happened? How about this one from Big Government where they try to allege that Mr Olsen is a anti-military drug addict. They also take a quote from him comparing the Kurdish issue with Turkey and try to use it to make him sound anti-Israel when he is just pointing out the double standard of our foreign policy. Here is the link:

So Mr Wulpern do you believe Scott Olsen is real person now, or did I just invent Andrew Breitbart? I am almost flabbergasted by your double standard sir. Mr Smith demanded I comment about something in the news and even though his writings were way over the top (your words again I believe) you did not say anything, but when I demand the same thing of him I am a horrid terrible person and then you accuse me of making it up. What happened to Mr Olsen being a great man?

-Randall Lee Yow

Rich Wulpern said...

Mr Yow,
The story was the part where you tried to tie Mr Olsen's tragic assault to a political football. The problem was where you attempted to make a political point at Mr. Olsen's expense.

I do believe Mr. Olsen is a great man. I just get sick to my stomach when people try to use situations like this to either deflect or cause some sort of mock indignation.

Let me be clear here. Neither party has a lock on this. Both do it. I find it disgusting no matter who does it. Does this answer your question?

Rich Wulpern

Randall Lee Yow said...

Mr Wulpern,

Yes Mr Wulpern it does, however Mr Olsen's injury was directly related to his political position and his willingness to protest for it. He was hurt because he was taking a political stand. Also for the record my anger and sentiment on this situation was not mock. I truly am upset that something like this happened and I am also upset that certain members of the far right (Micheal Savage, Andrew Breitbart) are trying to disparage Mr Olsen (Hannity did the right thing by not allowing this crap on his radio show).

Just as Mr Smith was upset by what he perceived as communist and Anti-Semitic elements in the OWS movement. He demanded I comment on this, and I did. Then I demanded he comment back on Mr Olsen's assault. In your on words Mr Wulpern I challenged him. A challenge he has yet to respond too. However you jumped in condemning me even though you admitted you had not read the entire statement by Mr Smith. Mr Smith brought my name into this and he is the one that brought up the OWS movement. Those are both facts. Then when you did read Mr Smith statements you said you did not agree with them and that he was over the top, but all the incidents he referred to did indeed happen. That implies to anyone reading it sir that you were challenging the veracity of what I said happened to Scott Olsen. I'm not sure if you meant it that way, but that's the way it is written.

I find it rather bewildering that you find my written words terrible, wrong, bigoted, and disgusting (among other choice words you used), but have said nothing more than you disagreed with Mr Smith's words and that he was over the top. Mr Smith said the OWs movement was made up of rapists, perverts, and communists (his words not mine, see above). Not even a harsh word for Mr Smith, but apparently I crossed some sort of disgusting line.

Mr Wulpern you can't even bring yourself to say anything bad about the big talking heads that are saying bad things about Mr Olsen. If I'm making a political football out of Mr Olsen, what is Micheal Savage doing by calling him a "so-called Marine" and a "so-called Veteran". What is Andrew Breitbart doing by making it seem like he is some drugged out damaged veteran?

This Mr Wulpern is a prime example of what is wrong with the political situation in this Country. Either side is so distrustful of the other they can't say one thing to agree with the other side. We can both agree what happened was wrong, but Mr Smith can't. Like I said before it would ruin his image. If Randall Lee Yow is for it Kirk Smith has to be against it. I'm not that way, I can speak my mind even when it disagrees with the stances of other Democrats and the party. I don't pussyfoot around when I see something I think is wrong. What happened to Mr Olsen was wrong. What happened to the people who tried to help Mr Olsen was wronger still. The thing that bothers me the most about this is I perceive certain people don't have any problem with this sort of thing happening, as long as it's happening to the other side. I believe in Freedom, for everyone. Since you used French earlier sir, I will close with a quote from Voltaire.

"I do not agree with what you have to say, but I'll defend to the death your right to say it."

-Randall Lee Yow

I'm still looking for a way to donate to Mr Olsen and his family. All I can find are progressive groups that say they will pass the money along. When I find something more secure and directly linked to the family, I'll pass it along.
