Many communities are celebrating Independence Day by reading the Declaration of Independence at a community event. Locally, the Lee County Young Republicans are hosting such an event at Kiwanis Family Park, 10 AM on the Fourth. According to the event's facbook page, "This is a non-partisan celebration of America. It doesn't matter what your political affiliation is as long as you want to celebrate America!"
Don't know of one happening in your community? Organize one yourself! Be the catalyst in your community that sparks people to really think about why the Founding Fathers declared independence, and to remember what makes our great nation unique.
