Watchdog Training - Worth Your Time!

Wow lets get rid of the scoundrels!  Yep let's rid the media too of those who won't report the truth.  And how about those who think they are suppose to create the news instead of reporting it?  Yep them too.  Can we call on our local media to stop suppressing the real stories and report them?  I have yet to see a story in The Herald on PBO's honesty on "You didn't build that!"  But if you have...leave the link in the comment section below please.

Here's some interesting facts from this weekend's Watchdog Training:

NCCU, Durham, NC...has 2400 people assigned to one building.  No one lives there.
Who wants to bet they all will be voting?

Learned alot at the "Investigative Reporting" session with Mr. Trent Siebert.  Man, I had no clue about all the information available.  But curious minds want to know stuff when presented with good resources.

Did you know North Carolina has counties/companies who have failed to report what they did with American Recovery Act funds.  Wait, wasn't Bobby Etheridge in charge of federal stimulus funds, aka, American Recovery Act?  Yep.  Find the story here:  http://www.wral.com/news/local/politics/story/9080307/

Now, just wait till you find out who got the funds in Lee County!

HINT:  Lee County Schools have received  $9,721,465 in American Recovery Act funds!

Go to recovery.gov, "Where did the money go?", and click NC.  You'll find the same stuff.

So uhhhh what shovel ready jobs did the LCSS create?  And for $9 MILLION plus??
And, knowing they got this amount, why were TAs cut loose?  And hmmm if there's a link to that story in the Herald will someone post it please?

I really think all of you  interested in keeping government accountable should take this training next time it's close.  I didn't agree with every thing that was said.  I think personality should show when you blog.  If you don't make it personal, people just see you as another news feed source.  No, have some style and creativity.  And just tell the truth.  Sometimes we get it wrong, but those Anonymous visitors that keep saying I am a liar are not reading the message. They are bashing the messenger.  That's just the liberal way.

But all in all, my eyes were opened to just how much we are being robbed of our liberties every day and we don't even know it.   Saw Zan Bunn, sweet and smiling as usual.   Personally met James O'Keefe.  Don't worry liberals. I told him he was hated just as much in Lee Co as anywhere else.   And Katie Pavlich gave us a talk about "Fast and Furious".   That crap goes deeper than you'll ever know.  So you think they, the DOJ, would track the guns, right?  Wrong.  2800 dispersed. 1400 guns missing.  How many have tracking devices?  2 out of the 2800!  Got to get her book!

One thing to leave you with:  When people found out I was from Lee Co, they perked up.  Seems Lee Co has a reputation.  A reputation that if you are not from here, watch out.   The good old boys will make an attempt to neutralize you.  And boy haven't we seen that!

I guess the Temple Theater  and a bad downtown parking policy are not the only things outsiders know.  Somebody call Cornelia and tell her to put the brakes on that tourism bureau!
