Here's the new structure according to the Democratic 2012 Platform (
http://assets.dstatic.org/dnc-platform/2012-National-Platform.pdf). Document is also under FBC Documents.
2008: “We need a government that stands up for the hopes, values, and interests of working people, and gives everyone willing to work hard the chance to make the most of their God-given potential.”
Do you see God-given anywhere? It was replaced.
2012: “We gather to reclaim the basic bargain that built the largest middle class and the most prosperous nation on Earth – the simple principle that in America, hard work should pay off, responsibility should be rewarded, and each one of us should be able to go as far as our talent and drive take us.”
This really shouldn't surprise any of us. The left has consistently been at war with God for years.
They have hissy fits if God is used in a valedictorian speech. They fight the privilege (yes it's a privilege) of prayer in school. Might as well forget prayers before Board of Commissioner meetings (ACLU sues), prayers before football games, etc. Heck it wouldn't surprise me soon if they don't try to stop prayers in church!
They think abortion is fine. They defend "death row" citizens (ha) and agree partial birth abortion is fine. Just look at their platform (http://assets.dstatic.org/dnc-platform/2012-National-Platform.pdf).
And they definitely don't like it when businesses show their faith in God! Let's see what example can I use? Oh yes ... Chick Fil A!!
However, when it comes to our money, they don't mind "God", do they? No, it's the opposite. They have no problem spending something that says, "In God We Trust"!
If you write me back and tell me this isn't true, and you have a (D) by your name, sorry. Doesn't jive. I am absolutely positive there are some fine Democrats out there. But at some point you have to own what you are associated with. In other words, if this is the "new" Democratic party and you stay one, you believe it.

Dems Remove All References to ‘God’ From 2012 Party Platform
- Posted on September 4, 2012 at 2:50pm by Billy Hallowell
Earlier today, we told you that the document fails to mention Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, a proclamation that was previously touted by the party. And now, in an even more shocking revelation, CBN News is reporting that the Democrats have removed mentions of “God” from the document as well.
This is a departure from the past. In 2008, the platform read (emphasis added), “We need a government that stands up for the hopes, values, and interests of working people, and gives everyone willing to work hard the chance to make the most of their God-given potential.”
With the words “God-given” removed, the 2012 platform sticks to a more secular script: “We gather to reclaim the basic bargain that built the largest middle class and the most prosperous nation on Earth – the simple principle that in America, hard work should pay off, responsibility should be rewarded, and each one of us should be able to go as far as our talent and drive take us.”

So what you're saying is it's more like the Constitution than the Republican Party platform.
From the 2012 Democratic Party platform:
"Faith has always been a central part of the American story, and it has been a driving force of progress and justice throughout our history. We know that our nation, our communities, and our lives are made vastly stronger and richer by faith and the countless acts of justice and mercy it inspires. Faithbased organizations will always be critical allies in meeting the challenges that face our nation and our world – from domestic and global poverty, to climate change and human trafficking. People of faith and religious organizations do amazing work in communities across this country and the world, and we believe in lifting up and valuing that good work, and finding ways to support it where possible. We believe in constitutionally sound, evidence-based partnerships with faith-based and other non-profit organizations to serve those in need and advance our shared interests. There is no conflict between supporting faith-based institutions and respecting our Constitution, and a full commitment to both principles is essential for the continued flourishing of both faith and country."
Faith? In who?
Explain why God had to be taken out?
What is the deal with you liberals that you can't stand "God"? Do you really believe Government is better than God? Or that God just doesn't exist?
Why do you feel so threatened you take out the real reason people can get hope? Obama isn't it. Just thought you'd like to know that.
Faith is a central part of the American story because our nation was founded by Christians who believe in God and placed God's name in it's founding documents.
The Democratic National Committee removed God from it's platform. They have shown their allegiance to a government with central control over America's citizens by doing so.
But it's ok, the democrat party believes in abortion and there is no place for God beside the baby killing doctors at Planned Parenthood.
Sad, very sad.
