WOW...Ahmadinejad is Right!

This guy isn't stupid. He isn't safe to be around but he isn't stupid.  Remember VP Joe Biden has dismissed any notion that Iran has nuclear capability.   This administration has coddled dictators and disrespected Israel.  What in the world are they thinking?

Ahmadinejad: U.S. Debt Will Destroy America

President Barack Obama has racked up such a huge debt that Americans have been forced to concede that even Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was right when he warned that America could potentially collapse due to its mounting debt.

Iran's official news agency, IRNA, reported on Thursday Ahmadinejad said America's impending debt would lead to the downfall of the "U.S. empire."

“How long can a government with a $16 trillion foreign debt remain a world power?” Ahmadinejad asked at a press conference with Kuwaiti media personnel, according to The Jerusalem Post.

Iran has no nuclear capability. No nation on earth thinks it does, including Israel, whose government has never ruled out unilateral military action if it determines such a case to exist.

Let the record show that in this post you have sided with an enemy of America. I can remember when such an enemy railed against Bill Clinton in the 90s, and Rush Limbaugh had the decency to excoriate the man, saying, in effect, "I ridicule the president, but he's my president to ridicule, not yours." (I'm searching for the quote...) You lack either the decency to enable you to show respect or the wisdom to know when to back off. I suppose the latter.

"Ahmadinejad is right...He isn't stupid." Well, here's a newsflash: the Iranian statist enemy of the US president is YOUR enemy too, genius. If you think for a second that the supposed leader of the theocratic state of Iran is a smart guy, well, that says more about you than it does about him.

Siding with the enemy? Ok my buddy is back. He is right Jay. our debt is going to kill the superpower status we have. if we are not solvent, there comes a time when we can't produce a great military. And we won't be able to take care of our citizens when needed.

Why does it take a dictator to say this for some to wake up?

Get off the soapbox news flash. Any enemy of this country is an enemy of everyone including PBO. you hear that?

We can't ignore the debt we are in anymore. Because it will eventually overtake us. And when the day comes and we have to choose between feeding the hungry or protecting our borders, we won't have the means to do either.

That is the day you will really find out about those weapons you're denying exists. I don't want that day to come. A weakened nation cannot defend itself. Who will help us Jay?

Sheila, you make all kinds of points that are easily made without trotting out the dictator of a messianic, anti-American regime as your case-maker. But, for you to say, "any enemy of this country is an enemy of everyone including PBO" just goes beyond the pale. The grammar wasn't quite right, so I must ask for clarification. Did you just say that President Obama is as much an enemy of America as the dictator of Iran?

I fully believe that Iran is pursuing a nuclear weapons program (which makes Ahmadinejad rather stupid, not "smart"), but I don't believe any nation believes Iran has a nuclear weapon. You seem to have better intelligence than everyone else. I am horrified by the idea that, in the words of Christopher Hitchens, a messianic regime is trying to acquire apocalyptic weaponry, and I believe Iran must be stopped.

Then again, I'm not the one screaming, "Ahmadinejad was right!" If you need the Iranian dictator to help you make your arguments, then you must have truly weak arguments, indeed.

WHAT? Jay I have already discussed the reason he is right. our debt will make us impotent.

Any way keep looking for your got'cha moment. you are desperately trying to do such. if you would stop and think about the context not the messenger, you would know I am right.

I get that, and I'm not looking for a "gotcha" moment. I think it's in horrible taste to look to an oppressor of women and of freedom as an example of excellence in argumentation. That's all. You want to argue that America's debt problem makes it weak; fine. I won't argue that a solution to America's debt problem needs to be implemented by the next President and Congress. But, as a war veteran, I am offended that you chose to enlist the arguments of one who hates America, a man who would destroy this nation by force if he could, a man whose nation has sponsored the murder of American Soldiers in Iraq, and a man who seeks the destruction of our ally in the Middle East - you enlist his argument to make your point. It is offensive, it's in poor taste, and it adds nothing to your argument.
