Millions of Kids Being Shot Down by Assault Weapons

At least that is what Congressman Charles Rangel claimed in an interview Thursday morning with MSNBC.  According to the FBI, though, "data from 2010 shows a vast majority of gun murders in the U.S. are committed with a handgun and you're more likely to be killed with someone’s “hands/feet/fists” than a rifle. Furthermore, the total number of gun/firearm homicides in 2011 was just 8,583."

I'm not sure what bothers me more - Charlie Rangel's blatant and unashamed lies, MSNBC's lack of journalistic integrity and curiosity, or that the public school education received by Rangel's constituents have left them so uneducated that they can't see the truth about Rangel.
