Fresh Brewed Conservatism: Blood Moons

There's a phenomenon occurring Monday night into Tuesday morning...BLOOD MOON.
And it's the first of four in a row called a tetrad.

Significant events have happened with Israel whenever one occurred in the past. There have been three significant ones: 1493, 1949, 1967.

If you haven't read "Four Blood Moons" by John Hagee, I suggest you buy a copy. Here's a quick excerpt from an USAToday article about the heavenly event:

"The April 15 eclipse marks the start of a lunar tetrad. That event occurs when there are four successive total lunar eclipses, with no partial lunar eclipses in between, each of which is separated from the other by six full moons.

A book out last year, Four Blood Moons: Something is about to change, suggests the event could be a fulfillment of biblical prophecy.

In it, John Hagee writes that the red disks of the moon during the full eclipses are referred to in the book of Joel 2:31: "The sun will be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and terrible day of the Lord come."

The other three eclipses of this lunar tetrad are on Oct. 8 of this year and then April 8 and Sept. 28 of 2015..."

For some time now, I have had the feeling something is about to change....what exactly remains to be found out. I am fascinated that our God is so awesome He would provide signs and wonders (as written in scripture) to reveal His will.

While researching I found an article at Pray 4 Zion that explains the Tetrad and the events that are coming up.

"...Every time a blood moon pattern has appeared on Jewish feast days a big event affects the nation of Israel. The event affecting Israel begins just before the actual years of the blood moons. To understand what will happen in the 2014 - 2015 "blood moons" you must understand the pattern of blood moons in the past.

It was confirmed by NASA that we have had "blood-red moons" on the first day of Passover and the first day of Sukkoth on back-to-back years seven times since 1 A.D. Three of these occurrences were connected to 1492 (the year the Jews were expelled from Spain by Queen Isabella) , 1948 (statehood for Israel and the War of Independence), and 1967 (the Six-Day War) — some of the most significant days in Jewish history. According to NASA - Four 'blood-red' TOTAL lunar eclipses WILL fall again on Passover and Sukkoth in 2014 and 2015… the same back-to-back occurrences at the time of 1492, 1948 and 1967..."
