With 8 days left until Election Day, there is a lot to be concerned about.
The local board of elections has deemed it necessary to hold an emergency meeting based upon a few complaints from local voters. I wonder if they will discuss the close relationship between chalk and some of the local democrat leaders. Or, will they discuss the lowlife behavior exhibited by local democrats to park in the handicapped parking space in front of Republican headquarters and leave the vehicle in that space all day long so that citizens who wished to visit the headquarters and use that space could not. Or will they discuss the alarming number of Renee Ellmers signs that have been stolen from the places I have personally put them? Call me cynical, but I doubt it.
Our local sheriff, in order to ensure that he runs unopposed, has chosen to become a dishonest political animal instead of an honorable public servant. At the very least, it is a disgrace to the sheriff’s office.
The sheer desperation inherent in democrats in the face of the upcoming humiliation is eye-opening. Bobby Boom-Boom Etheridge is running television ads touting his great success in the area of education. As the former secretary of education in North Carolina, he claims to have worked his whole career to help children achieve in education. In that time, North Carolina has gone from 48th in the nation to 48th in the nation. We have gone from a 75% graduation rate to a 65% graduation rate.
I don’t know about you, but I think Boom-Boom needs to quit working. We can’t afford that kind of success.
Despite these concerns, I choose to optimistic. I choose to believe that a wave is coming. I choose to believe that the electorate has seen the devastating consequences of socialism espoused by democrats and a few liberal republicans. I choose to believe that, despite the onslaught from the mainstream media and the socialist elites that occupy leadership positions in academia, unions, and politics, the American people have awakened and are about to exact a measure of revenge and rebut the constant attack on their honor, character, and ability to govern themselves. What I have witnessed in the last year has been inspiring and encourages optimism. There may yet be hope for our country.
It is, though, only a belief. The truth will be revealed only after November 2nd. Then, it is back to work. We have to hold their feet to the fire and ensure that the newly elected leaders are doing what we sent them to do. Repeal and replace Obamacare. Cut spending across the board. Keep the Bush tax cuts. Reduce regulation that stifles business. Is that too much to ask? I don’t think so. And I know that Renee Ellmers believes in all of that and intends to see them through.
I know Boom-Boom believes in the opposite.
The choice is a no-brainer. And I am optimistic about the results because I don’t believe the citizens of North Carolina’s 2nd district are stupid enough to continue down that path of destruction that Bobby Boom-Boom Etheridge has led us.
It’s Renee Ellmers. Period.

Mr Barber,
Have you checked with Lee County or the City of Sanford about your Ellmers signs? Both entities have been pulling up quite a few signs that have been placed against UDO (Universal Development Ordinance) regulations. I know I saw the City picking up Ellmers signs on Horner Boulevard one day about two weeks ago. The UDO was passed the last time the Republicans controlled the Board Of Commissioners. It has been referred to as the biggest form of business regulation and attack on personal expression ever put forward in Lee County.

No. The signs missing are not the ones where the City is working. We actually found them in the bushes.
One case is where we put the signs among Love's, Stone's, Womack's, Marshall's and the very next morning only Ellmers was missing. This has happened in several places.
Good idea to check with them, though. Thanks for commenting.

FYI - The board of elections director, Nancy Kimble, has said stealing of signs is not their jurisdiction.
I'm wondering if anything to do with the Republicans would be!
I'll be on the lookout on election day for those "voter intimidators". I imagine that's just a made up story too to try and intimidate me. Sorry didn't work and won't work even if you send the Black Panthers in.
Losers cry quite loud, don't they?
paranoid much?
