I'm part of the 99%---and believe in work: so get a job!

I am part of the 99% of Americans economically, but definitely not in agreement with the Occupy Wall Street demonstrators. My message of personal responsibility to demonstrators: get a job -- with hard productive work, maybe you could join the self-made 1% types!

Let's think and discuss! Martha

Amen to that!

The occupiers do not represent the heart of America. Not at all.

I often wonder why the MSM doesn't care enough to go out and find out what true hard working Americans think.

I am shocked to see all of you "Conservatives" pulling a Romney by changing your stances on the Wall Street/Big Bank bailouts. But I suppose there is an election coming up, so which ever way the wind blows.

Hmmm Randall...no one here is pulling a Romney and changing our stance. That's not what Martha is saying.

Bailouts stinked from day one. That hasn't changed. They should have let them fail, and GM "I am in Obama's back pocket", file bankruptcy like any other corporation would have.

As far as I know none of us have changed our mind at all.

Mrs Barber,

Isn't the main point of the occupy movement to protest the unequal treatment Wall Street gets. They make bets and they lose and the government makes it so they win anyway. The Big Banks and Big Business get the governments help anytime they want it, but they refuse to pay their fair share of taxes. After all I pay more in taxes than General Electric, Yahoo, and Exxon Mobile combined.

As for the issue of pulling a Romney, I didn't hear to much complaining from "Conservatives" when Reagan bailed out the banks and bailed out a car company, but Obama gets called a socialist for helping two American car companies reform themselves so all those heavy manufacturing jobs would not be lost. I am just saying seems like a flip flop to me, and besides Bush had the bank bailout and two stimuli on his watch and he is still a "Conservative" darling.

As for the Occupy Movement I think they should make the goal of their movement to amend the Constitution implementing Federal Term Limits. Three terms for Congresspeople and one term for Senators, then you would actually see people go to Washington and work to get things done.

P.S. By the way I am currently employed (8 years same company) and have never drawn underemployment in my life.

When the occupiers decide what they are "occupying" for and put their money where their mouths are, they will be worth listening to.

They complain about capitalism and leave in BMWs. They complain and then call their friends on iphones. Or check their ipads, pdas, etc.

That's so hypocritical. Stop the bush blame game. Obama owns this economy and he owns the mess we've gotten in since he took office.

When will he and alot on the left grow up?

Hopefully before they take all of my money I earned while OWS was defecating on police cars!
