Where's the outrage from the Left?

So this right-wing, conservative (been called Nazi, Socialist, Timothy McVeigh fan, etc) blogger has been getting some heat on her protests against the LEED Brat Pac participants.  BTW - How can anyone read my posts or Letters to the Editor and call me a Socialist or a murderer lover?  Who is the one off their rocker?

Anyway, I find what LEED and their cohorts did during the primary  deplorable, despicable, and typical actions from scared individuals.  (http://freshbrewedconservatism.blogspot.com/2012/04/buying-your-vote.html)

They want their power and they want it to stay.  It isn't about the children.  It isn't about the economy (except theirs).  Our unemployment has steadily remained  higher than surrounding counties for months!  Our tax rates are higher, as well.  And they still want more money.  Plus we have a high percentage of our high school graduates having to take remedial classes for Math and English at CCCC.  So don't give me an argument that status quo is the way it should stay and Lee Co should continue to only be in the hands of a few shakers and movers.  Give us conservatives a chance.

Therefore, I said let your pocketbooks decide.  You don't want to spend money with these individuals..then DON'T!   There's nothing wrong with that at all..except if you're on the right.  So here is an example of the left doing the very same thing...Where's the outrage, Anonymous commenters? Where is it?

I know exactly what you are talking about. I find it ironic that the herald labeled my comments with the word "arrogant" and "jerk" as uncivil. But the language some of the others are throwing around appears to be promoting civility.

It says alot doesn't it? You know what I mean.

And let's add the mushy story the other day on the lame duck commissioner and LEED. Rest my case.

I notice the herald will not allow me to post comments anymore. Don't know if that is a general policy , or just one for me? I hit them hard yesterday trying to show the hypocrisy on civility they exhibited recently.

those of us you consider left leaning liberal socialist who don't support our country currently have little recourse but to withold travel and tourism dollars from a state that chooses to turn back the clock on civil rights. have you forgotten that if put on a ballot and allowed to be decided by the voters women to this day likely would not have the right to vote? african american's and other people of color would still attend "separate but equal schools"?

we choose to "boycott" exclusive organizations, businesses and states, you choose to "boycott" inclusive ones! that's the difference in our two sides and as a women with not only a public voice but a private vote you will forever be indebted to our side though you will likely never admit it.

Indebted for what? What's inclusive about character assassination? Your argument about civil rights is futile. No one is turning NC back to those days. Just another rambling argument. Besides, the people spoke.

Regardless if your side had won the day with Amendment 1, the people would have spoken. And if someone doesn't like the decision, they can move. If the feds decide, for or against, you have no choice. If the states do, you do. Nice isn't it? Brought to you courtesy of the Constitution.

About being indebted...you will be indebted to those of us on the right who want freedom, liberty and the pursuit of happiness for all. And how we speak for Freedom of Speech regardless of who you are. We on the right do not declare war on the rich and successful people. We understand that they are the ones who create jobs. And we want everybody to have opportunity not be dependent upon a government check. When you realize that and understand its meaning, this country will be turned around in the most positive way possible.

Let's be honest: We're all indebted to those who died fighting and to those who are fighting to keep america free!

Boycotting is not a war. It is your right to boycott just like it is mine. Use your money where YOU want it. If I don't like who you boycott, I can support them. Vice versa.

Lovely thing called freedom. Another gift from our soldiers, God and the Constitution.

Now if we could get that through the thick skulls of our politicians and they allow us to keep more of our money, wow could you imagine how the economy would turn around? Instead we have idiots like Jerry Brown, Bev Perdue, Chuck Schumer, Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, Obama, etc, saying we don't pay enough! All Democrats by the way.

sheila,
you really don't understand even the basic concept of our form of government do you? the people don't decide, issues aren't and shouldn't be decided by majority rule. that is not the form of government we have in this country, i know this may come as a shock to you but a little research will in fact prove this to be true. as i have previously stated i spend everyday ensuring the warfighters representing this country continue to have every asset available to execute their mission, i'd put my 214 up against anyone's you can produce without hesitation.

i have served beside what at that time were "openly" gay men and women, as open as they could be within the law. they have fought and died to protect you and the rest of the citizens of north carolina and deserve better, i'm ashamed of my home state. i have always touted our forward thinking position, we now look like some of our backward thinking relatives in south carolina, georgia and mississippi. i'll not spend my vacation money nor would i reccomend anyone visit a state that has for all intent and purposes turned by the clock to the 1940's. we should all be ashamed! Look I made my decision in 1982 when I married my husband. Case closed for me.

Your comment: "you really don't understand even the basic concept of our form of government do you?"

Yes I do. We the people won. If the other side had won, it's still WE THE PEOPLE. If morality issues are going to be put on a ballot, give it to the people to decide.

I hate these issues on ballots. What I hate worse is some judicial activist defining marriage (I live by the Bible code so no issue for me) or the HHS Secretary coming in and telling me I have to abide by abortions and pay for them. $12 a year is tacked on to my insurance. And I have no choice.

The people of NC have a choice. They can move or stay and try to make things better.

But that federal thing...nope.
