Agree...GOP Stop Enabling the Thiefs in DC!

“When all government, domestic and foreign, in little as in great things, shall be drawn to Washington as the center of all power, it will render powerless the checks provided of one government on another and will become as venal and oppressive as the government from which we separated.”
-Thomas Jefferson to Charles Hammond, 1821. The Writings of Thomas Jefferson, (Memorial Edition) Lipscomb and Bergh, editors, ME 15:332

That's a great quote by Jefferson.  America came to be because of oppression and tyranny.  And what are we doing?  Well not me, but worshipers of O?  Heck some registered Republicans too that voted for Obama!

Yep, they have helped to turn us right back to oppression and tyranny.  Yes, we are at that point.  Almost half of the voting population gave more power to government.  Fools.   Government can give and government WILL take away.  This talk about the fiscal cliff...Well, it's caused by out of control spending and power hungry politicians.  Period.  And which party is it that promises the moon?  You got it...the Democrats.  But the Republicans have done their fair share of  giveaways as well.

Wait, just wait, until the subjects realize what they voted for.  Wait until ObamaCare kicks in.  OMG!

But get out of the way, GOP.  Point the finger to Obama and his crowd.   Be the grownups in the room.  The truth will show up.  It's amazing that the millionaires in Congress are bashing the millionaires in the private sector.  Is it because Congress is exempt from the policies they force on us?  You decide.  I say yes.

Let it happen.  It will hurt. Just like disciplining a child hurts a parent just as much, this will hurt all of us.  But it's time for a wake up call, America.  So GOP...STOP!

I agree with Mike Flynn...stop enabling the thieves in DC.

Fiscal Cliff: GOP Should Stop Enabling Democrat Policies

  29 Nov 2012

The media is reprising its role as a modern-day Diogenes, searching for "honest" GOP legislators who will save Democrats from their own policies. While Democrats are never pressed on the need to go against their own constituencies and advocate spending cuts, the media is obsessed with finding Republicans who will violate their party's philosophy and advocate tax hikes. Why does the GOP play this game? They are expected to be the adults in the room while the teenage Democrats mug for the camera and spout boilerplate pablum. The GOP should end this farce.

As regular readers know, the "fiscal cliff" is a combination of automatic, across-the-board spending cuts and the expiration of many tax provisions. Less understood, however, is that it also ushers in brand new taxes, passed under the ObamaCare law. What the media will never mention is that everything in the "fiscal cliff" is the direct result of Democrat policies. Everything in it is the direct result of their party's temper-tantrums.

Why is it incumbent on the Republican party to save us from the consequences of Democrat policies?

When President Bush passed his tax cuts, Democrats insisted that the cuts would be temporary. They could not cede the argument that government doesn't have an automatic claim on our earnings and fought to make sure the cuts would expire. Democrats today claim to be fighting to preserve "middle class" tax cuts, but the fight for them only exists because the party demanded the cuts weren't permanent.

The "fiscal cliff" also includes an end to the payroll tax-holiday and the expiration of extended unemployment benefits. Again, these policies are constructs of the Democrat party. The payroll tax holiday was intended as a short-term stimulus but succeeded only in draining more funds from the Social Security and Medicare trust funds. In the history of the world, extended unemployment benefits have never been shown to have a stimulative effect, but made the party think it was rewarding people who would vote for them.
