There are just some mornings that I wish I had never opened up the news tab. Today seems to be one of them. All I can say is, in what world does a job that requires half a day to train for and doesn't even require it's workers to have a HSD justify being paid $15 per hour? What will this do to graduation rates if it passes, will students just stop going to class because they can get a full time shift at McDonald's? What would the pay increase come to for Engineers and Draftsmen who usually start out at 15 an hour after they graduate with degrees in the field? What would be the point of going to school to get these degrees if you can just go into fast food and make the same amount? Will the union stop at just 15 an hour or is it just a starting block?
