Why You Should See "Captain America: The Winter Soldier"

I'm sure plenty of you just go to the movies to escape reality, eat popcorn, and have a few laughs. I do too.  That's what I expected when I went with sugarbear and his mommy to see "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" this weekend.

This one was different.  Several times throughout the movie I said to myself,  "this is too close to reality".  And it felt satisfying to pump my fist in the air when Captain America was fighting bad guys.  You see, this sequel is about the government's overreach of power and what it can do to its citizens all in the name of safety and security.  Sound familiar?  Do you think the US government would really turn on its citizens and target killing Americans?  If you don't, get a life.  What the heck do you think the drones are for?  This isn't a conspiracy's reality!

The Obama Administration is full of those who hate America.  Purely hate America.  He was very accurate about transforming us.  If O has his way, we will be under UN rule shortly.  His ambassador to the UN, Samantha Power, is totally on board and pushing that agenda:

In 2003, she wrote that “giving up a pinch of sovereignty” to organizations such as the UN is good for the United States and our security.

Heck no it's not good for us.  Do any of you remember why we are here?  It's not because we loved being under British oppression and rule.  It's because we wanted freedom FROM oppression and rule.  We wanted freedom to worship our God, not a king.  Freedom to be individualists, opportunists, and a prosperous nation.  Freedom to pursue happiness on our terms.  Freedom.  Look it up, folks.

The progressives are attempting to scare the you know what out of American citizens.  Trust me, the people are so ignorant of the Constitution and why it was established that they are going to fall for this nonsense.  It's not just's downright criminal the way this administration is acting.  Which leads me back to the movie...Go see it.  Go feel the creepy tingles you will get when you realize the similarities.  See if you know who is a George Soros-like character.  And I bet you'll agree with me...we need a "Captain America" to step forward.  We need citizens to wake up and say NO! loud and clear, even if it means death.  Many died before you...shouldn't we repay that debt? Shouldn't we secure a free nation for our children and grandchildren like others did before us?

I need not say anymore.  Read the Film directors' comments for yourself and go see the movie.  Matter of fact...well just read the rest of this post....

"Captain America: The Winter Soldier" Is About Obama's Terror-Suspect Kill List, Say the Film's Directors

There are currently no plans to screen Captain America: The Winter Soldier at the White House, as far as the film's directors have heard. But if it makes it to the White House family theater, President Obama would be watching one big-budget, action-packed, and Scarlett Johansson-starring critique of his controversial terror-suspect "kill list."

This isn't me reading things into a mainstream comic-book movie. It's what the directors themselves will tell you.

"[Marvel] said they wanted to make a political thriller," Joe Russo, who directed the film with his brother Anthony, tells Mother Jones. "So we said if you want to make a political thriller, all the great political thrillers have very current issues in them that reflect the anxiety of the audience...That gives it an immediacy, it makes it relevant. So [Anthony] and I just looked at the issues that were causing anxiety for us, because we read a lot and are politically inclined. And a lot of that stuff had to do with civil liberties issues, drone strikes, the president's kill list, preemptive technology"—all themes they worked into the film, working closely with screenwriters Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely.

SURPRISE...Here's a Contest:  The first person to answer all these questions correctly will get a movie ticket to "Captain America":

1) Which President loved jelly beans as a snack?
2) Which President was a tailor by trade and made his own suits even after being elected?
3) Which President needed a red rose good luck charm?
4) Which President loved to play pranks on his staff by pushing all the buttons in the Oval Office and hid to watch them panic?
5) Which President married his 5th cousin?
6) Not a question on the President.  Boo hoo!  But what famous actor did me and my hubby meet and chat with on a corner in DC during the rally against Healthcare act in March 2010?

Good luck!
