In Honor of the Lee County Democratic Convention...

I bring you this report.  I wonder while they are creating the resolution to oppose "Amendment One" if  they will also create one to demand the resignation of such individuals and those on their side that are truly using the "politics of personal destruction".  Hint:  Don't hold your breath!

NC Democratic Party embroiled in sex harassment scandal

Raleigh, N.C. — Leaders of the North Carolina Democratic Party declined to answer questions Friday about reports that a junior staffer quit working for the party last fall after being sexually harassed by a senior party official.

Several party officials said they were told the party settled with the young man and that he signed a non-disclosure agreement. No financial settlement appears on the party's finance reports.
The senior official allegedly behind the harassment is still working at the party's Raleigh headquarters.
Sallie Leslie, a former administrator, quit the state party six weeks ago. She told WRAL News on Friday that the decision came after much thought.

"I, quite frankly, could not be a part of any organization that protected a predator," Leslie said.
Late Friday, state party Chairman David Parker issued a statement saying that people who have left the party in recent months did so for professional reasons.

"Over the last several months, several employees left their employment with the NCDP for business or professional reasons unrelated to their job performance, by mutual agreement of the parties involved," Parker said. "These are personnel matters about which we cannot and will not comment further."
The staffer who left last fall said he cannot talk about the issue.

Democratic consultants said party leaders have to step up and address the issue directly.
"We don't know what the truth is. We know what the rumors and conjecture are. So, it's incumbent on the party chair at this time to assemble a full report and release the findings of fact, get the truth out there, get in front of the story," consultant Brad Crone said. The Prez cares so much for you.  He's raising a family.  They have to take vacations.  They have to go to Spain, India, Vegas, etc.  Don't you know that it's tough being the Prez?  My goodness, somebody has to do it.  Get over it America.  This is the most caring Prez we've ever had.  All those lavish dinners at the WH, while you eat chicken and peas (this will make Michelle happy), all those trips to Hollywood to smooch with those paying $10 - $30,000 a plate, all those afternoon golf outings with Bill are for you!  What the heck is wrong with you citizens?

He cares so much he wants to take your neighbor's wealth, if they have any, and give it to you.  However, America, don't you take any of the Prez's.  Because the poor Prez couldn't afford to live without Michelle's $380,000 plus salary while he pranced around the nation campaigning.

Two Peas in a Pod..

On another blogger's website he claims some pretty juicy stuff on Cameron Sharpe and Wendy Carlyle, Lee County BOE candidates who are Republicans. But he left out the other two that go hand in hand! 

Let's just give the dear man the benefit of the doubt that his vision needs correcting.  Because how in the world can you miss these two signs that literally do sit side by side on many corners and some yards in our town?   Ok, maybe his camera broke.  Ran out of film?  The dog ate it? 

This picture (at the intersection of Pendergrass and Steele Bridge)  is worth a thousand words considering both of these individuals are running as Republicans and support or have supported the opposition!  Will they do the same if they get elected?  Doc is an incumbent who can't run away from his voting record.  Ms. Brogran is a candidate for Lee BOE.  How will she vote with Jeff Moss and company if elected?  Just stating the facts.

The War on Women..Part II

Hey you home-school moms, you mothers who choose raising your kids over working in the corporate world, you grandmas who juggle helping to raise grandkids, work fulltime, and stay active in the community (like me)...Your President and his friends think you're a slob!  You don't work.  You don't worry.  You never know what making it paycheck to paycheck is like.  You don't even care about healthcare. 

So who really is waging the war on women?  Don't hear the Prez refuting this do you?  He had alot to say about a teenager but nothing here...And the headlines below say his administration is running away so fast... Just doesn't want you to know the truth.

Obama campaign runs from strategist's insult on Ann Romney
The Obama campaign was scrambling Thursday to distance itself from comments made by a top Democratic strategist who accused Ann Romney, wife of presumptive GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney, of having “never worked a day in her life.”

“Guess what, (Romney’s) wife has actually never worked a day in her life,” Hilary Rosen said Wednesday evening on CNN.

Romney immediately responded with a debut tweet, sparking a Twitter storm.

“I made a choice to stay home and raise five boys,” tweeted Romney, a 64-year-old mother of five and grandmother of 16. “Believe me, it was hard work.”

Top Obama campaign officials then took to Twitter in an attempt to distance themselves and the re-election effort from Rosen's comments.  (Editor's note: they got caught!)

“I could not disagree with Hilary Rosen any more strongly. Her comments were wrong and family should be off limits. She should apologize,” Obama campaign manager Jim Messina said in a tweet.

Obama campaign strategist David Axelrod tweeted: “Also Disappointed in Hilary Rosen’s comments about Ann Romney. They were inappropriate and offensive.”

Rosen continued to tweet herself, adding, “I’ve nothing against @AnnRomney. I just don’t want Mitt using her as an expert on women struggling $ to support their family. She isn’t.”

And later: “@AnnDRomney Please know, I admire you. But your husband shouldn’t say you are his expert on women and the economy,” Rosen tweeted.

Romney will give her first interview after the incident this morning on the Fox News Channel.

Democrats have attempted to portray Republicans during the election season as being unresponsive to women’s issues, in an attempt to secure the key female voting bloc for President Obama.

Rosen has twins with Elizabeth Birch, with whom she separated in 2006. She was in 2004 the interim director for the Human Rights Campaign, a leading gay/lesbian/bisexual/transgender lobbyist organization. Birch was the executive director of the group for eight years,,,,

ABC News Still Cannot Be Trusted

           ABC News stopped being trustworthy a long time ago.  Their recent unbalanced reporting about “lean finely textured beef” (AKA as LFTB and as ‘pink slime’) is just another example of why their reports are suspect.  Did they tell the truth about LFTB?  Yes, and no.


           What is ABC’s angle in reporting this story as they did?  Are they trying to drive the producers of this textured beef out of business because the producers are successful capitalists?  Are they pushing people away from meat products to accomplish some vegetarian agenda?  Are they hoping to decrease the amount of cows on the planet since cows contribute to greenhouse gases?  Are they concerned about the quality of the nation’s food supply?  Are they wanting to boost their ratings by exposing something in a scandalous way?  Whatever their agenda, they certainly caused a ruckus.

Four Years Later

Good morning, Friends!  What's in your cup this morning? I have BJ's Ethiopian Blend. It's so smooth.  You should come by for a cup!

I imagine most of you see my title and think it's another column about Obama.  Well, not exactly.  But there's always some conservative byline or principle in my writing.  You see four years ago today, my life changed drastically.  Little did I know that I would fall in love again.  No didn't divorce my hubby.  Been his wife for almost 30 years. Still love the old geezer.  Ha ha. 

What happened was:  sugarbear was born.  Today, is my grandson's 4th birthday. Memaw's life has never been the same.  And neither has nana's, GG's, Pa's, Poppy's, Papa's, and Great-Grandma Mary's.   And while he sleeps peacefully down the hall, surrounded by Lady, Blue, Mommy Bunny, Baby bunny, Mommy's kitty cat and my dog, Dallas, I sit here sipping coffee and smile.

I'm smiling because, ok here's the conservatism coming out...he represents the hope and change for America.   And I hope,with all my might and whatever wisdom I have gained from my life experiences and trust in God, that sugarbear's generation will learn and appreciate what made America who she is.  It's obvious the current one doesn't.  They want everything for nothing.  They feel they have a right to take what's yours and mine.  That attitude is coming straight from the current occupant of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, Washington, DC. 

But Friends, America has not died.  America has not forgotten her brothers and sisters who perished to keep her free.  America has just taken a detour.  Time to re-route this great country.  Time to make it so sugarbear and all the others his age will grow up free to be whatever they want to be.

Bad Bush - The Real Story

If in doubt, check it out.       The day the democrats took over was not January 22nd 2009, it was actually January 3rd 2007 the day the Democrats took over the House of Representatives and the Senate, at the very start of the 110th Congress.    The Democrat Party controlled a majority in both chambers for the first time since the end of the 103rd Congress in 1995.       For those who are listening to the liberals propagating the fallacy that everything is "Bush's Fault", think about this:   January 3rd, 2007 was the day the Democrats took over the Senate and the Congress. At the time:    The DOW Jones closed at 12,621.77   The GDP for the previous quarter was 3.5%   The Unemployment rate was 4.6%      George Bush's Economic policies SET A RECORD of 52 STRAIGHT MONTHS of JOB GROWTH   Remember the day...       January 3rd, 2007 was the day that Barney Frank took over the House Financial Services Committee and Chris Dodd took over the Senate Banking Committee.       The economic meltdown that happened 15 months later was in what part of the economy?   BANKING AND FINANCIAL SERVICES!       Unemployment... to this CRISIS by (among MANY other things) dumping 5-6 TRILLION Dollars of toxic loans on the economy from YOUR Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac FIASCOES!      Bush asked Congress 17 TIMES to stop Fannie & Freddie - starting in 2001 because it was financially risky for the US economy.      And who took the THIRD highest pay-off from Fannie Mae AND Freddie Mac? OBAMA   And who fought against reform of Fannie and Freddie?   OBAMA and the Democrat Congress   So when someone tries to blame Bush...    REMEMBER JANUARY 3rd, 2007.... THE DAY THE DEMOCRATS TOOK OVER!"     Furthermore, the Democrats controlled the budget process for 2008 & 2009 as well as 2010 &2011.   In that first year, they had to contend with George Bush, which caused them to compromise on spending, when Bush somewhat belatedly got tough on spending increases.       For 2009 though, Nancy Pelosi & Harry Reid bypassed George Bush entirely, passing continuing resolutions to keep government running until Barack Obama could take office. At that time, they passed a massive omnibus spending bill to complete the 2009 budgets.       And where was Barack Obama during this time? He was a member of that very Congress that passed all of these massive spending bills, and he signed the omnibus bill as President to complete 2009.      If the Democrats inherited any deficit, it was the 2007 deficit, the last of the Republican budgets. That deficit was the lowest in five years, and the fourth straight decline in deficit spending. After that, Democrats in Congress took control of spending, and that includes Barack Obama, who voted for the budgets.       If Obama inherited anything, he inherited it from himself. In a nutshell, what Obama is saying is I inherited a deficit that I voted for and then I voted to expand that deficit four-fold since January 20th.
